Sector Teams

The MACIC is composed of sector teams that are responsible for scanning their sector and analyzing companies for potential investments. Each sector team is composed of a Fund Manager and 4-5 Associates.

Fund Managers are club members with unique experience in the financial services sector or personal investing. As leaders of a sector team, Fund Managers are responsible for guiding their sector’s associates in conducting research on Canadian equities within their assigned sector, as well as presenting their stock “pitch” to the club’s investors. The club’s Fund Managers often go on to join the MACIC Executive Team, or go on to careers in the financial services industry.

Associates are club members as well but do not require unique experience although it is considered an asset if the applicant possesses. Associates will work with the Fund Manager in the selection, analysis, preparation and eventual pitch of the stock the sector has identified contains an opportunity.
